Welcome to the official Cooper Arms Homeowners Association website. The Cooper Arms is a community of 159 condominium units in the twelve-story Renaissance Revival apartment building that opened its doors in 1924. Cooper Arms was the first high-rise residential property constructed in Long Beach and one of the first structures to be designated a Long Beach Historical Landmark when the city launched its historic preservation program in 1980. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
Located in the East Village Arts District of the revitalized downtown area of Long Beach, the community is under new management and is ushering in a new era of appreciation, refurbishment and preservation. We thank all residents for their continued dedication to preserving this historic landmark.
The Cooper Arms reflects the vision of many local leaders of the post-World War I era in Southern California. We appreciate and give special thanks to the help and assistance from Long Beach Heritage and the Historical Society of Long Beach for their continued support.
Sincerely yours,
Rodney Stringer
